Working with the Family Holiday Association to help give kids a break

The winners of the Sunsail Regatta 2007Companies that have worked with us have found that partnering with the Family Holiday Association can have many benefits. It is known that associating with a charity will reinforce your credentials as a socially responsible company while providing a platform for building trust and engaging with consumers.

Corporate supporters have told us that with business increasingly moving online, gaining consumers’ trust, recognition and loyalty has never been more important for them. They have found that working with a charity can be a cost-effective method for addressing these issues.

In addition to an effect on consumers, our supporters tell us that their relationship with the Family Holiday Association has a positive influence on staff morale and team development. This is in line with surveys showing that involvement with a charity promotes greater productivity and cohesiveness, as staff work together with a common aim of generating vital funds for a good cause.

Some of our supporters like to be able to earmark the funds they raise for families in the area where they work.  Companies who have more than one office in the UK can do “local” fundraising at each office.  People raising money often prefer to help local families to have a potentially life-changing experience.

Some supporters like to set targets – either to help a particular number of families, or to contribute by helping the charity, for example, to buy a caravan, an asset that will provide holiday accommodation for as many as 30 families every year.

Recycle your old mobile phones or printer cartridges

Any old mobile phones in your cupboards? You could earn around £5 for every used mobile phone you donate. Estimates suggest there are close to 90 million handsets hiding in drawers and cupboards in the UK, so if any of these are yours why not use them to raise valuable funds for the Family Holiday Association? Or if you use a printer or fax machine each cartridge could make the charity money.

Simply visit www.recyclingappeal.com and if you have a product to send in, you will either receive a freepost envelope or a call from a member of the Recycling Appeal team to coordinate a free collection.

Opportunities for working together

The opportunities for working with the Family Holiday Association are varied and numerous, and we can find ways to work together productively.

For example, to aid employee and team development, staff can take part in a team-building or challenge event. Similarly, corporate entertainment can take place at our exclusive evening events, and sponsorship of any of our events offers a value-for-money advertising opportunity, raising the profile of your brand while demonstrating a clear commitment to the charity.

Staff fundraising also offers an opportunity to motivate staff and promote team-building, and we can help you with fun ideas for events and initiatives which will encourage everyone to get involved.
Gifts-in-kind such as items to auction are welcomed, as are corporate donations or cause-related marketing initiatives such as donating a certain amount from every sale.

Please contact Joseph Hipgrave, Fundraising Manager, on 020 7323 7290 to discuss opportunities for working together.
