The Family Holiday Association's millennium project In the lead-up to the millennium the Family Holiday Association organised a project called Time2Care. The project meant that the charity was able to offer a holiday to all children in residential care homes in the UK. Time2Care was evaluated by a team from the National Children's Bureau. The Project's HistoryDevised to make a difference in the millennium year, the project was extended into 2001. With the support of the travel industry, which offered free and discounted holidays, Time2Care provided a range of holiday experiences which included Mediterranean beach holidays, activity holidays in centres around Britain, camping holidays in France and football training holidays at Premier and Football League clubs

Time2Care 2000 : a CelebrationFeedback showed the experience has been beneficial and has met the aims we set out to fulfill The Family Holiday Association’s initiative – Time2Care – has been an enormous success. Four thousand looked-after young people, and their carers, were sent on a week’s activity or beach holiday, abroad or in the UK. Proving the benefits: evaluating Time2Care Using a variety of methods, including questionnaires, group discussions and interactive games, NCB worked with a sample of the young people to find out what they felt they had gained from the holiday. The results were very positive.
