This report analyses the reasons people give in their applications for financial assistance to enable them go on a holiday. Policy Research Bureau paper sets charity on social tourism path
7 August 2003
This August 2003 paper was the catalyst for much of the charity's work on social tourism

The review and scoping study was carried out between Autumn 2002 and Spring 2003. It consisted primarily of a review of research literature relating to the provision of holidays for disadvantaged groups.  This analysis was further informed by a series of discussions with policy makers from a range of government departments, and social services practitioners from a small sample of local authorities.
