 Russell Amerasekera presents Perfect Holiday

Watch our short video

Russell Amerasekera, of BBC1's Perfect Holiday, fronts a short (3 minute) video about the Family Holiday Association and the families we aim to help.  We hope you find it interesting and a good introduction to our work.

Russell is joined by well-known travel journalist Alison Rice and a host of families we have helped over the years to give you a brief but compelling overview of our work and to explain why we regard access to holidays as really important for families affected by poverty.

BBC Breakfast News covers story

BBC Breakfast

BBC Breakfast filmed Susan Burgess who has five children and claims benefits. She can't afford to take her children on holiday - you can also see the film featuring her by clicking on the link below.  The report was followed by a studio discussion involving another family and John McDonald the FHA's Director.  The BBC web site only carries a report from earlier that morning featuring Barnados and a commentator - still very much worth a watch!
